Windsor

Windsor - A Small Town Life with a Big Community

If you’re looking for an ‘small town’ life and a sense of community, Windsor Town Green townhouses are the way to go. Townhouses for sale on the Windsor Town Green Most are 2 stories and come with covered parking.  Some have shared garages or 2 car garages.

Windsor is a town that serves it’s residents well.  The town square is surrounded by townhouses, the county library, restaurants, a pharmacy, the sheriff’s office and all manor of shops. The green is also surrounded by legacy Oak trees intentionally preserved by the town.  There is even a 325 year old Oak tree.  And I must not forget the Windsor Community Garden. The downtown architecture is a nod to an era when one would say hello to their neighbors, go to the local pub for a beer and go to the butcher’s to get the evening meal.  With shops on ground level and the townhouses/condos above the shops, many of them face the town green or one of the side streets filled with shops.

I live in downtown Windsor, CA.  I moved to Windsor because I wanted to be walking distance to amenities.  I guess I was thinking ahead to a time where walking to everything I need is a possibility.  I wanted to be near the town square, local pedestrian paths, the Foothill Regional Park & the Riverfront Regional Park hiking trails.  On the off chance I’m adventurous enough to go to San Francisco, I wanted to be able to travel via the Windsor SMART train station.

I got so much more than I bargained for!  Windsor is surrounded by quality artisan wineries, Healdsburg is just 10 mins up the 101 and the ‘Snoopy’ airport is 10 mins from the town green. I love the Summer Nights on the Green and the twice weekly farmers market.
